| Map of the Year for 2008 time! We've had a lot of great maps made this year, so we should have a really tough competition! I hope this year has gone well for you guys, as it's coming to a close! |

| Spinel Valley III: One of my favourite bwm maps. I could write essays about this map, but don't feel like it. I just like everything about it. I think it gives all players a lot of options. Faoi IV: The map is ok, but seems to me to have too few options for gameplay. Also, it's mostly played as a 2v2 map, not a 1v1 map which suggests something is wrong about the map for 1v1s. It's a well-made map, which happens to be in iccup, but is nothing special. Dread Core 1.1: Very basic and comfortable map. Can't say that I'd vote for it for moty since it's so basic, but it's a good solid map either way. Korhal Pride 1.1: I wish I had gotten to see more of this map. That being said, it's still fairly simple and I can't see myself voting for it for moty. Dayun Si: It needs editing and testing badly, but I really like it. While it is still fairly simple/basic, it does have a unique feel and layout to it which opens up options in gameplay. I can see myself voting for this (if it gets editing :( ). Texsomething: This map needs testing before I can make a call on it. I like it and can see myself possibly voting for it, but I don't know its gameplay well enough to make a call on it now. Aztec II: Perhaps with testing/editing this map could be really great, but atm it's just a well-made map, it's basic and gameplay seems potentially flawed by its tightness. Voices IV: A good solid map. Perhaps interesting/unique, perhaps just basic. It needs testing to see how the gameplay turns out. I spose. Basically though, at worst it plays fine but not unique, and at best it's fairly interesting. I doubt I'll vote for it, but it's possible. Prophecy: I love LostTampon and his maps, but I really can't stand this one. I've played it, and it was really awkward/annoying. Crackling liked it though. I'd vote Desert Flower before this map. Just kidding. Tepolsomething: I like this map, it's interesting and solid, but there's just something not quite there. I just can't really think of a reason for why I'd want to play this map over any other. It's a good map, but even with its unique concept it doesn't seem to me to stand out on its own. I most likely won't vote for it. Plating 1.2: Not bad but not moty. I wouldn't vote for this in a motm competition unless the other maps were really boring. Again, this map isn't bad, it even has some interesting concepts, but it just doesn't stand out at all to me. Sign: No. I can't say that this map has better than average gameplay. I'd rather play Old Peaks of Baekdu than this. Just kidding rofl, but still the map is "ok" but not great by any means. Black Widow: This map actually has pretty terrible gameplay. I'm not sure why it was uploaded, but it's pretty bad/boring. It has no concept on top of having subpar execution due to ignoring normal mapping standards which results in imperfect gameplay. | i think spinel valley will win with more than half of the votes, it just clearly dominates every other map in this competition. still i think its main ramp should be wider ;) i really hope spinel valley go tsl but i doupt any of these maps will. its crazy but i actually agreed with almost evrything u said nightmarjoo but Tepolsomething i think is a bad map thats just filled with funk ^^ | |
