BWMN Torney Map Nominations
| deadline to enter maps: 2011, 08, 5 (Year, month, day) |
| To get some overview and order into this: To limit the number of short-listed maps the following rules come into effect: I. Maps must be finished and decorated and debugged. II. All maps submitted must be intended for melee 1on1 play. III. Allowed map sizes are 96x96 (only for (2)maps), 96x128(only for (2)maps), 128x96(only for (2)maps), 112x128, 128x112 and 128x128. IV. Map submissions must be accompanied with a post by the submitter, stating which map he submitted. V. Every one is allowed to submit at most 1 map. VI. Every mapper may only have one map of which he/she is the main author nominated at any time. Cooperative maps are an exception to this rule. VII. You are allowed to change your nomination at any time, your previous nominated map will be deleted from the pool until renominated by some one. I hope these rules are unambiguous and represenatative of what Phobic had in mind now. - Freakling - |

| Hazard is finished and should have no bugs, but I\'ll double check again. Daek Apology... I haven\'t had a closer look at that one to be honest... Tomorrow... I think I posted a some proposition for issue fixes/changes for Last. I think he implemented all/most of them. I need another look. Losing Temperature... I would say Arc should remove some of those cliffs. Overrule... Seriously, Zerg? This isn\'t even finished... And hardly a 1on1 map. I am sure you have something better in your repertoire. | I think 5. We could do 4 just like in OSL/MSL. Proleague uses 8 maps, though. I\'m not entirely sure if we are trying to copy their tournament format. And I don't think I'll be able to finish Gemlong by the time of the Tourney. I'm too busy. modified by JungleTerrain |

| My proposition would be to have some more maps and allow players to ban each on from the pool or something. This way when something turns out to be seriously imbalanced it's quasi autocorrecting. |

| I am waiting to make sure everyone has finished touching up on them. Im going to get them in about....... 3 hours, then make observer triggers for them. I think we're aiming for unified map triggers displaying something along the lines of " BWMN Showcase Tourney selected map [Mapname] version [xxx] author: [author] visit www.broodwarmaps.net " If you have them for one map you can simply copy them over to all the others. Have you uploaded every update you've made, so I can have a look? |

| I dunno... I think my ScmDraft is somehow broken... Whenever I try to open the string editor to have a look it crashes... I thought we might do something like the observer version of Pyrolysis. [...not really ;)] I am doing final bugfixes and improvements on Tomorrow right now (yes, there are still some issues, buggy tiles and stuff). I will have a look at the observer triggers, too. |

| If you do not know what you are doing do not do it. Arc sorry but I'm to buisy with the tourney to help your friend. All first rounds will be as follows. Both players may omit one map from the first round map pool. Then one of the remaining maps will be picked at random. Then for all other rounds the loser picks map, including ones that were previously omitted in the first round. So the maps that are omitted will only be omitted for the first round. modified by Phobic |

| One thing I would change for next time would be the map size restriction. We shall have a veto system where if a good enough amount(like 3) of active mappers hate a map it will get shot down. |
