Tonight the first BWMN tournament using my new gosu script took place in op BWMN on europe. The big favorite lnept did not show up, and some players were late, but in the end we managed to play an almost complete bracket.
Tournament tree
The awesome panschk[FP] won the tourney without losing a single match, ScoutWBF was his opponent in the grand final. Some replays can be downloaded after clicking on the match's details.
final standing
1: panschk[FP]
2: ScoutWBF
3: spinesheat
The four maps in the mappack were:
crush it II, Roanoken, azure pasture and Paradise Lost.
I think the comments are a good possibility to praise the incredible panschk and to discuss the maps too :D |

JK)Valkyrion's (2)Vengeance Rivers gets the MotW title this week! This map has been around awhile and recently has been in the Map of the Week competition for four straight weeks and many times before :P. It finally gets in the lime light this week!
The map has a basic main/nat set-up but has a good variety around the map offering good strategical points to get the edge over your opponent. Nice layout, nice decoration, good concept; good execution gets the spot at MotW

Better late then ever eh? :)
This week's Map of the Week winner is (4)Azure Pasture by boongee!
The map has a very unique layout, sure to play well, especially for 2v2 games. In my opinion it seems the distances make it feel like a team oriented map. With the 2 gas mains, min only nat, to promote some new/unconventional strategies, and an unique layout (which is done nicely), it is an awesome addition to the MOTW list in our database.

This week was the start of the new voting system, and though some were troubled with the decision and the mechanics, the new MOTW must be posted!
MOTW.38 is (4)Illusion, by flothefreak, a well executed map that is sure to be fun and have a good flow in-game. An interesting concept is the macroish main/nat layout; it feels almost necessary to FE. Other than that, the map doesn't have any experimental features, but is well enough to gain the MOTW title!

This week's MOTW comes from yours truly NastyMarine with (5)Templar Castes.
The map doesn't boast amazing experimental features, but does have a nice feel in-game. An interesting feature in this map is it's low eco expos: 7/6/5 (mineral count among each expos 7 at main, 6 at nat, and 5 at min only). It also has an interesting "art" side to it. Designed for Protoss lovers, each main has a tribe design in the terrain, with the last tribe in the middle which harbors a few Protoss buildings to give it a real Protoss/Aiur feeling.
With a nice layout, and good execution (:P) you will find yourself playing this map again and again until u can't anymore! Enjoy!
