| Ok, I submitted 2 of my maps. There is a problem with the picture of chaos circuit the actual picture of the map is down in the thread. The picture that is up is imbalanced earlier version where the land between horizontal bases is connected. |

| My top 3: 1)home of the swarm (I would prefer if there was more chances to balance-test it, but I don't see anyone doing it so...If it gets a GG.net post and all it might get the testing it needs, and we can see what better players say about balance then) 2) Xenomorph 3) sleeping sun. I think most people here underrate it. It looks pretty fine to me. |

| I don't see whats wrong with a 5 player map for 1v1. I personally hate 2 player maps they are boring and very easy to make compared to 3 or 4 player maps. Making a 5 player map is really really hard if anyone can make a decent 5 player map i give them mad props because ive tried and failed several times. Its just so hard to fit in all the balance and nice looking terrain without making a boring map, like the one that is in the contest. |

| Votes are for information. It would be totally dumb to just count the votes and make the map with most votes MOTW, because votes are biased. Maybe you like the author, hes a friend or something, or you just come by and vote for a map. That's not what it is upposed to be, and that is why there is no real poll here. Everytime i write the motw article (which i also won't do this week because i'm just to busy :/) i read thorugh all comments, see what maps are good and why, count the votes, make up my mind and decide the winner. Easy as that. And i'm totally with Starparty. Playability/Quality is simply most important. A map can be totally flashy and outrageous looking. If the balance or playability is missing, it will never make MOTW. Also a 5 player map has almost no chance to win the competition in my eyes too. Still, Sungaze is a very interesting map, and i left it here just to give props to MA in first place, and to see how many people would like it to be Motw at all. Actually i could think about something like "Special Map of the week" for maps which are "out of the limits" somehow. Like Sungaze as 5 player map, or Home of the Swarm as UMS map. But that's just mindfuck by now. A "real" Motw has to be totally balanced, great looking and interesting. And to The Arena. Starparty made this map and said himself "this map is boring because it is so simple". But people loved it. And i also love it, because it is almost the perfect standard map. And as stupid it may sound to some unexperienced mappers. But it's quite hard to create a balanced map, even if it's a "standard" map somehow. Anyway, to much blabla as always. ^^ Snitch definetely won't make it until it is updated heavily. I posted like 8 things on first glance, and none of it is changed. Quite dissappointing, because the map itself would have a good chance as MOTW if mOsQ would work on it. But as it is now, it's totally unfinished and has obvious imbalances and flaws. |

| sungaze is really great work. I actually think it could be MOTW. The few 1on1s on it will be okay, and it will obviously not be a PGT map unless 5 player FFA becomes PGT playing mode :O But right now, we earned ourselves a nice position where people actually pay attention to what we do. That's our chance to bring in some "new" stuff instead of the same style in different tileset every month. Like a 5 player map or a map with zerg buildings everywhere. Don't let the innovation always come from korea. Sad enough we only began using neutral buildings here _after_ the first OGN beta maps were released on PGT, that we use mineral blocks at wallins to copy forte, minerals at islands since namja iyagi etc etc. Just saying, we should set our own trends and take the risk of getting some negative feedback from the people who still think the LT-only time was the best time of SC. Concerning snitch: I do not like MosQ, but this map really is not bad. If he did some changes like listoric suggested, plus making the part of the cliffs that reaches into the middle of the map unbuildable, I could accept it as motw. Right now, not. Just neither very balanced nor playable :X |

| Snitch is far away in quality from Memory Cell, Valhalla, Xenomorph or Obsession. I say it again, i pointed out like 8 flaws and all you do is ignoring them instead of REALLY make a good map out of a good concept. To say it in simple words. | I asked my clanmates on the FP-forum, the protoss players said they think it is a pretty good map for them. So the terran>all point may not be that valuable. I would still beg you to just make scan possible on islands, have some unbuildable drop zone, make mainbases slightly bigger. But I would not oppose myself to it being motw anymore. |
