| PsycHoTemplAr's Map Contest Submit any map you like, make sure it has a picture; I will not play maps without pictures. At the end of the week, I will pick a winner. I will play these maps in 1:1 mode, so if your map is a 2:2 map, it is unlikely it will be chosen, unless I can find many volunteers to play with me :) Only one map per person. TIP: It's more likely I will enjoy your map if it is a standard size (like 128/128, 128/96 2-4 players). It's not impossible I won't like your map if it isn't, but I'm looking for a top tier map if you do something wierd with size. You have till Saturday next week! (10/10/07) I look forward to seeing your maps. A news post will be made for the winner displaying their map. |

| PsychoTemplar is a dodging noob; I back this up with the fact that he declared himself a better sc player than I based on map testing games we've played (I still believe I've won more, not having looked at my rep collection, I may be wrong, but I'm sure his "20-3" report is false lol...), and wouldn't 1v1 to prove it. I think I've played him like 4 times with my main race, and honestly not trying my best in any of them: testing maps is not necessarily about playing like it like any other map, it's to get the feel of it, attempt to exploit imbalances in the map, to look at a map from inside the game rather than from a jpg or from the editor. |

| Sorry, replays for those maps do not exist. While I was sick, I didn't think once about this site, and I decided I was a little strapped for time. I then looked at 2 maps at a time, eliminated one, until I had only 6 to choose from. Although Roanoken was one of my final 6, I wasn't able to find anyone to play on it, and as such I just played a computer. I felt it was a little too awkward for my tastes, and I wasn't really feeling the vibe. Sorry if I didn't play your map; Lancet, I will play Up Down Across with you if you want, but I feel the map has inherent imbalances. Please note that the games I played on these maps were not "tests" as they were just general having fun. I didn't try to abuse them, because frankly I don't know how; I'm not a good SC player. This will be my last statement on this topic: "He said I was rude, I showed the transaction between us in an attempt to defend myself." I said these things on Battle.net. There's no reason to defend yourself on a site where people don't even know about this. What you're trying to do is slander my reputation here, which frankly doesn't exist because I don't think anyone pays that close attention. This is extremely childish. | I am sorry you were sick and strapped for time but in the opening line of your competition you wrote: "I will play these maps in 1:1 mode". You see, this is what was different in your competition that made it so exciting. Rather than just "take a look" at maps and pick the one you think is the best one you actually stated that you WOULD play our maps. That is why I think so many people signed up. It is quite a thrill to see your map being playd by somebody else. Now I find out that you actually did not play some of the maps. I entered this contest accepting and expecting a set of rules and promises to be followed and fulfilled and that was not the case. I am dissapointed. |

One last thing, I only brought this up on bwm at all because radix wanted to know if games had been played on the maps, I said yes 1 game and then templar didn't want to play another, "dodge" was the word I used. | I don't really see a point to such a competition (>.<). I think it may be better to simply start a small league with a collective goal of testing most, if not all worth while user maps that appear on BWMN. This way we can gather an opionion based on more than mere theory crafting. MOTW claims enough responsibility over spotlighting maps. |
