the left side looks really really T>P to me. and they can shoot the mains from there, build turrets on the sides. troubling
the map has inherent advantages for zerg (close spots, lord scouting 100% fast and complete), easy natural, long distances. that's why i put the mains at 9 minerals, as this helps P>Z and T>Z. u changed everything back to 8.
i really like it a lot, u made a great map starparty, but the right side was supposed to be almost too t>p already, the left side you added is even more t>p and now it hits the mains |

i'm serious, i think u could potentially balance the races on the map, the cheeses aren't worth attempting the only effect is that you have to do a different build to defend the cheese. terran loses an scv early to scout for the cheese (send it in there) and proceed with a raxs build. land the raxs build a bunker without range it can still hit everything on the side of the minerals (without reaching workers), no range required, all cheese stopped (mutually by defense).
but t>>p on this map i think because the left side is just free win, T can already port on this map and push from the right side into the main (right side is a little narrow too).
toss can't fast expo because they need to build a photon in their minerals. so toss are doubly screwed. the only thing going for them is that it's a land map so terran has to face high ground vs high ground at his choke, goons can hit low ground too but once the game gets macroing T army becomes invincible, the only real flaw |

Btw this map could fit in a imbalanced contest... What will happen if terran land with a barrack between the mains? What will happen if terran land with a second barrack between mains? What will happen (if the enemy is still in the game, minerals, because all his workers will be attacked from the back of the minerals) if the terran user control his army just like Nal_ra on King of the Abyss vs Yellow? It's not that hard to move over the minerals, i already try, and it's not hard at all. Anyway if there is problems in the beging with marines for example zerg made his sunk near the minerals, so he can defend his drones against marines, and don't you think that terran will have a total ownage after he gets his tank? It's so easy to make some turrets between bases and then tanks.
Protoss might try a cannon rush again between bases with the sneaky pass trougt minerals trick.
If you ask me, such concept and gameplay have GREAT POTENTIAL! This might be the door to make some original new staff before the mapdorians, but it should be done in a better way. And i think that should be done in a total new map.
I will be happy if i say how Starparty will do this. |

same thing to fight a probe attacking through the minerals
yes you have to fight cheese vs cheese, or at least watch for it and be ready to react, but i dont think that makes the map imba. they're all stalemates really, using the middle for cheese is pretty much noob bashing, even before he changed it so creep couldnt go through.
play any good player and try to do the things you said. terran can build a bunker in the middle that keeps toss from being able to photon inside there (even without range). zerg can make a sunken that makes anything inside there worthless. pretty straightforward. |
