this map is interesting because it shows you how you really know a map more than you even realize and that simply reversing it makes you feel out of a place in a map that you, in theory, know the strategy and theory of. it shows you that it is not pure knowledge, and that experience is not purely of the objective mind in SC.
The history of this map, for the curious, is simple: There was a mirrored version of Lost Temple made (actually at least 2 that I know of) but they were not accurately done (although impressively close) and were of Blizzard's LT (the main objection people gave to playing them). i decided to remove this objection by fixing the inaccuracies of one version and updating it to have neo LT's features (exactly). i believe i changed the gas geysers around because people preferred them that way (after being mirrored). |

oranges minonly can be cliffed. On newer LT versions you can't do that. white has to go 3 hatch FE, something on LT2.4 nobody has to do.
When I took a quick look, I just thought "another LT clone", I did not realize it was an almost perfect mirror version. |

| its "another LT clone". Lost Temple is truly the one of the most played maps with probably the most unbalanced startpoints ever. anyway, i think this map doesn't fix that problems nor sets new accents to the LT concept. |

| i think its an interesting experiment. and it also proves how often our skills is depending on LT or not :P by simply reversing the map suddenly no-one feels like home anymore, still its technically the same map :P |

| Listoric, you really should pay more attention before commenting. This isn't a clone. It's an exact copy of Neo Lost Temple (except gas changes made necessary by the mirroring). See above, and stop rating my maps, you dufus. |

| I don't know why more people aren't aware of this map. People always pussied out of playing the other Mirrored LT's because it wasn't "fixed" like Neo. Now people do the same thing because they prefer 2.4 to Neo, and I am not gay enough to transfer Bill307's ugly ass changes over just so people can still refuse to play a mirrored version and face up to their true addiction to LT's raw familiarity and not just LT's gameplay. |

Anyway, Stimey, you're completely correct. I would honestly never want to play on this map because it feels too weird. Cool idea, though. |
