New Patch .Yes or No?

are we need a new patch for bw,or you are happy with 1.14 and blizzard should stop to change the game.if you think we need a new one what changes you have in mind? or wishes..

a feature that forces players to pick BWMN maps ONLY

but seriously:

- remove bugs like scarab ai, lurker last shot, units not shooting when targeted enemy moves out of range, etcetc.

- decrease cost of scout

- implemented _working_ ladder

other thoughts:

- increase maelstrom duration by 3 seconds

- increase damage of ghosts by +1 or +2 (mayb they are more often used against zerg then :P)

- increase efficiency of shield batteries by factor 2 and also increase cost to 200 (so they dont use too much space)

- add a special ability for protoss shuttle to become invincible for 3 seconds (so that there is more dropping possible :p)

-_- .i think a additional folder with league maps as content could be a idea.for noobs at least..

a very useful change for evry t would be the possibility to build the stupid comsat on the both sides of the cc.of course just one per cc.no more problems with the gas-workers.

imo increasing shield battery stuff would really imba zvp, it can be pretty hard if they are able to get a shield battery + proxy or something to kill their zlots with lings with a shield battery now, making them better will be hard for z imo, and maybe t too. On the other hand, it might actually make them usefull =/ I don't think the 200 mineral cost will matter though =/ Blizz already anounced no more balance fixes though =/

comsat thing is a very interesting idea grief, that would be interesting, how would you pick which side to put it on though?

As for bugs, I hate it when a dt walks into spore/ovy sight and units are right next to it and don't attack. Scarabs are definitely gay and should be fixed -_-

scouts would be nice to have usefull, but bare in mind that they rape most air units already even with high cost, I usually get a scout not sair in pvz hah.

But seriously:

i was thinking of the idea to have shield battery changed to recovering mana instead of shield. thought that would be interesting(obviously name would be changed)

as of now the only thing i find battery REALLY cost effiecient for is the rare zlot rush against the stubborn zerg that will not sunken or MCing with a DA then recharging shield(rarely happens)

I sometimes use batteries when I already have quite a bunch of carriers, in a pvt lategame. Since I am zerg, I rarely get to that. But those can be fairly useful, though you'll need a lot of them. It's just to boost your army that tiny little bit over the 200/200 limit, when the battle turns out really huge. Rare case, indeed.

MCing mostly occurs in pvz, from what I see, for taking some ultras. But then it usually is further away from your batteries, so I don't see much use in this.

When batteries come in really handy is in intense zvps where both players are playing really aggressively and that one or two archons will most likely decide the game. A rare scenario nowadays as well, with all those fe protoss.

Anyways, Blizz stated that they won't release any more balance patches. I suppose that they'll keep their word.
What I would like to see, though, is a better user interface outside the actual games, so mouse-wheel support for every place that fits, copy/pasting text from the chatlog, little stuff like that.

they could make scout / disruption web more useful, also the gay ai of scarabs and scourges (5 runs in one, and it's only the 120 damage or what)

yeah you can use it and its air-superpower ( > carrier, > bc, > devourer), but sucks at ground despite its cost

I use scouts in all the games where it is likely that one player goes for some heavy air. That would be ffa, or longer huntz/BGH games. In ffa or on BGH I usually use p anyways.
You get exactly 2 scouts for the price of one Carrier + 8 inters, and 2 scouts are more than enough to kill one carrier. A few sairs kill off huge scout groups easily though... Imo scouts could use some armor, with less shields/hp instead. But again, Blizz won't try to balance the game any more. Also, this is only a pvp issue; no need for better balance in a mirror mu...

I once played a 2n2 on lt, me and my ally were z, one enemy was p, one was t. We killed off the p except for his island, which was well-guarded. So we focused on the terran instead. Somehow the protoss managed to get 24 scouts, he had quite some money left over and was pumping out of 3 stargates.
When we had the terran pretty much down, but still not completely (he played very defensively), we were struck by that scout-army. Believe me, those are horrifying. My ally was hydding, I had the mutas. But since the game had already went like 40 minutes, my geysirs were depleted. He killed off my spire, then went on picking eco and ovies, also buildings. Eventually he had about 36 scouts. We managed to kill the terran while maintaining a huge amount of spores, my ally was killed off eventually, though. Luckily I managed to get the very last non-depleted geysir - like 500 gas left, and had like 15 spores around that base. The protoss was out of money, so he tried to attack that base. But I got some scourge and sent them in when he was attacking my spores.
Probably the closest game I ever played so far... Those scouts ruled because of their speed, and the ability to pick out key buildings fast and efficiently (my ally was killed, having like 50 hyds, by the protoss picking out his last two colonies amidst my 15 spores...)

So: If you are z, fear mass scouts. Have plague ready ;)

so far,so good.well the question is not anymore - a new patch,yes or no ? - in the next days 1.15 is reality.everything about the new one you can find under blizzard.com.

and about sc2.yes it would be realized as the next blizzard game.of course built-in 3D.but now it comes:

- the game would contain a new race;3(older)+1(new one)
- also some new units for the older races.idk maybe some new spells for the older units too(like high templar)
- perhaps for each race water units.i think people,this would change alot of things.

water would be nice, but would be useless in most maps. You would have to make maps made to work with water units, wc2 did it well, I don't think it'll work well in sc. Also, you couldn't have boats in desert or ash tileset, no water. Or space lol

Water units do not fit into SC at all. If they try to implement them, they are working on serious trash.
If the new game REALLY is SC2 cannot be told for sure yet; they have yet to announce it officially. Even though it is goddamn unlikely, they could have been fooling us all the time. Wouldn't do them any good, though; so no matter if they were actually working on SC2 or not, now they pretty much have to.

I find it funny that the league organizers have to "provide blizzard with information to create a file package (mopaq)". Honestly, they should know that we have been creating our own custom mpq files for a long time. Well, they certainly know. But they can't tell us "create your own mpq files" as they have the patents on the mpq format and the fact that we are using it is pretty much illegal :p
