updating page: 1 | ||
| what rules does the updating in the map list have? its easier to spot new maps if theyre always on top, but just now some older maps went above them.. is it because they get rated or commented? | ||

| Something i was wondering about too. It seems to be without any system. I`d recommend to put the newest on top, which is already implented, maybe its buggy? btw, after i sort the maps, by rating i.e., and rate a map, i cant get back to the already sorted page. i suggest to rearrange the rating button below the comment window and after rating you automatically get back to your former sorted list. | ||

| They are sorted by the date of the last change. So a new map would be on top, but also a map where paetza just updated the name of the cretor. comments and replays are not viewed as a "change" right now I could change that if you want me to. Listoric: That would be done with javascript and history:back(-2) or something like this. I can try to do this, don't know if new problems come when I try this (I'm not sure anymore, but there must have been a reason why I did not do it that way anyway) Starparty, I think the current system is quite powerful. Maybe you just need to get used to it, your idea is basically the same just with categories on top and not on the left. | ||

| i dont think changes should alter the list. The list should be quite permanent as it is to prevent it from getting messy. its a bit complicated, since i see this as a pro map database, i also see it as a mapmaking comunity since you can post you unfinnished map and get comments. its hard to combine them. for a database you would want organized list, for a community you want newest map on top. that is why i was thinking of separating them... | ||

| It depends on how you use it. Maybe there should only be two categories that you can click on on the left frame 1) finished maps (pro, classic, user-final sorted by name) 2) in progress (user-beta sorted by date of last change/comment (like a forum thread)) What do you think? | ||
