I think the island concept is hampered by the expos on it being so close. You can't really fight over them at all. I mean, one player will take the gas expo, and the other player will attack him. You'll never have both players with expos on the island at once. |

lol P4ever, so this is actually my map ;)
So I have decided to continue my streak of weird maps, because I already gave standard a couple of tries and I much prefer deferent stuff.
So about the map:
- The power generators are stacked 2ce
Now the main is really really wired so il explain with this pic:
Il do the math 4 u:
A standard main with 8 mineral patches gives u: 12000 minerals
And this one gives u: 12448
After that map becomes somewhat normal, but one of the interesting factors in map is the middle so check that out cause its bound to make things interesting.
... so yeah!

More minerals per base have always disfavoured Zerg, though easy third gas against Terran. Not sure how the islands will play out. Middle looks fun. |

Yeah, but you can't constantly produce drones with Zerg like you can produce SCVs/Probes with Terran and Toss so it's more difficult to achieve saturation. |

Ok so site has been dead for a while, so this is my attempt to bring it 2 LIFE!!
So what better way to do that than with a deco up date!
OK So UPDATE:
-Deco is up
-Added some sprites
-Added a bit + high dirt dear the mains
-Made the middle un buildable
-And fixed several small terrain details
Oh and Aristocrat, yeah it was unbuildable before but now its fixed I was waiting for this update (Map is now playable, I think)
Ok so I am still not sure about the mineral block concept of the mains, Im not sure how it will work out(Plan 2 test tho) so I dono if I should keep it or remove it and put a standard main instead.
Need some feed back bad about this -----^
And actually any type of msg would be good, to show that Broodwar still rolls!!

lol actually I dont even know what MS Paint or scpm are, or what they do lol.
I just flip it all in my brain, maybe i do this so well because for a long time in my bigging's of map making I had not discovered the symmetry tool (lol) so I had to flip everything mentally, and do it all by hand, some examples are: (2)pExian_JUnglE, (4)BuckleBerry_Ferry and even (4)Pythagoras 1.2 <--- that one was a bitch.
And I am also studying design in university so yeah, that does the trick 4 me.
Oh but u are right about the spare time tho.

MS Paint = Microsoft Paint = default Windows image editing program.
SCPM = SC Picture Mapper, a popular program that converts images into Starcraft maps. So say you have a 128x128 image. It will make a SC map whose minimap is as close to that picture as possible. You can outline your map's shapes in MS Paint, convert it to a map of the appropriate tileset using SCPM, and then outline the shapes in SCMDraft 2 with air units. After that, you can drag out the appropriate isometric terrain to match.
That method allows you to do this kind of symmetry much more easily as well as create size-correct maps without pylon counting, although you can skip it for most XY/X maps. |

I drew this 2 save the ass of my best friend, because they had asked him 2 do something like this in marketing, but the lazy dude and hes team did not do shit so he came to me telling me " dude plz plz plz, I cant draw plz do It 4 me, its for a project ..."
So either they uploaded that online 2 hand in there work, or u did 2 try 2 make me look like I stoled some 1s work.
And If u want prove that its mine I can upload a couple + 2 prove my skill, hell I would even go as far as u telling me what kind of a dude u want me 2 draw and I shall.
Something about me is that I never cheat in the important things or the things I like.

After some high-level testing, I got some great feedback on this map:
Zerg running out of easy to take expos pretty fast…
captured silence is hard for zerg because the rush distance is too short
marines just need to walk through the top bridge (actually if they go top they don't even need to cross a bridge) and they're at your nat, if you muta harass for one second they're gonna take out your nat; it forces zerg to make sunks before doing anything main is pretty wide though so it's pretty muta harassable.

What changed?
Narrowed Down nat chokes / Increased distance to Top Left my a small amount.
Moved Bridge at the top left even further, again to increase distance.
Increased distance nat 2 nat by quite a bit:
- Moving all the bridges closer to Bottom Right.
- Made all bridges a tiny bit longer (motivate players to keep using the larger bridge path).
Brought mineral onlys closer to the edge (harass) and removed 1 mineral patch (6 each).
Added a second gas to the Bottom Left island expo.
