sWaGu | | | in my opinion thers not alot of variation in this map. islands arent in rotationalsymmetry like the rest of the map | JungleTerrain | | | This map is way too strong for terran, as they just push along their narrow path from the natural, there is nothing to stop them in TvZ or TvP. The only time terran is weak here is when they barely take their natural, and the very long nat to nat distances make it harder to break an enemy's natural.
In TvZ, where the terran can just stay on 2base and STILL be a strong opponent for a 3base zerg, the terran gains 1 FREE GAS expansion, just by moving out of their natural and pushing until they reach the gas expo. The middle isn't too big, and it is all buildable, so it helps terran even more.
In TvP, an aggressive, expansionist terran really has nothing to stop him here. The mains are very susceptible to vulture drops because of their size and mineral formation positioning, and if the terran does go for vulture drop, they have the ability to pick up one of the islands, or to just push until they take the 2 gas expansions outside their ramps.
Really, this map needs to be more open. The expansions belong to easily to a single player, allowing terrans to turtle here very easily. |
