You can't just place stuff and hope it works. What's your plan with the map? Do you have ideas about how the map will play? Frankly as zerg I'm going to just 4pool and hope for the best. No way to hatch first with such distances. If you 9hatched in main in front of the choke, t/p could probably be in your base with units before your hatch finished to place a single sunk, so you have to go pool first to live, so might as well take advantage of the distance with a 4pool. |

They dont even play for win, but more for practise, so this would be played normal, in most of the games, I could say same at all 2player maps, I go out, make some outgate somewhere, and win, because you made hatch 1st-.- |

Except most (2)maps don't have such short distances. And I just explained why I feel "playing for practice" doesn't work if zerg is practicing 12hatch lol.

have no idea how this map looks before the"starpimp" process, but now it looks quite proper and tidy. but for my taste a little too much resouces so close to the mains. as gift, quasi. i mean players no need to do much to own them, right?
i like what u did with the bridges, but this chokes are still looking crap. never mind! this isnt your fault, there is no way to do them better. but i think before someone start to plan a new map, maybe he should think about how he can avoid such hidious structures.
maybe u should change the position of the resouces on NE & SV(>gmcs). it would be very hard in a game to defend this expos for a z or p; and very easy for t to destroy them.

i wanted to make some kind of fast secret expansion possible. If it was an island it wouldt be fast, and if it was a normal expo, it wouldnt be secret. Now you can actually mine through the wall (8 mins) and hide in the corner.
As for the expo layout, i knów. I would perhaps want 3nat gas expo at 6 and 12 instead thus moving the ramps a bit, but i only pimped the map :p
i also put ramps and cliff on the 1nat in base and 3nat combined to make these important strategic points. They can also serve as secret proxy spots if you like that game

By "chokes", Grief means "ramps", I guess. And have you ever seen Woodenfire terrain? You CAN make nice ramps, but those are not always suitable for melee play. |

An UMS mapper, famous for his extended Jungle terrain. A little overly self-confident and imo an idiot. Nevertheless he has a great hand for blends and probably lots of spare time. |

i think its important that a ramp somewhat looks like a standard ramp (all terrain in general tbh) so players dont have to dedicate too much though to what they are playing on instead what they are playing against. Im not that much a fan of entirelly customized terrain unless it is totally excluded from game play. |
