Prob the stupidest question yet... page: 1 | ||
| Enlighten me, How do i install these maps? I am on a mac, if that changes anything. I downloaded one, but when i click on it, it says there is no app to open it. Will it auto install it in SC when i download it? | ||

| I assume you have the game brood war. You do not need to install them to play the maps, simply put the files somewhere in your /starcraft/maps/ directory and chose them as maps when you start a game. If you want to open them in an editor, you could try doing it with staredit, or download some third-party tool like starforge. | ||

| I don't think that any of the better third party editors has been ported to Mac. There were attempts at SF and SCMD2, I think, but I never heard of any results. | ||

| XEdit i believe is the mac editor of choice, you can get it over at SEN. | ||

| Wasn't Emerald Edit available on Mac, too? Not sure about it. Emerald sure is old, though. Yep, I have followed the development of XEdit for a while. When I last heard about it, it was far behind SCMD2, though. At least it could do CustomTerrain. | ||
