tell me what to make page: 1 | ||
| Okay, it's time for an intervention! Except... this time, I'm asking you guys to intervene. I haven't made a map in months! My trouble is that I have a hard time starting a map. The big blank square is just so ominous and threatening. So somebody should tell me what sort of map to make. Sorta like flo's Theme Competition. My only request is that it is a jungle/twilight map. I'll take my favorite request and try to do it! | ||

| ok, i will tell ya: make a map that has a certain theme...let's say, a glacier! OR: make a 3player-map with all bases located VERY near to the very middle point of the map. only that far away so a tank cannot shoot a foreign mainbase from the own one. so there will be hard dropping and incredible stunning ZvZ play :P and around this core of mainbases, try to create a balanced but interesting map (no air!) and try to make it positional balanced /e this could actually be a setup for the glacier competition ~~ modified by flothefreak | ||

| @panschk[FP] because I have already started my map for glacier comp... I'm just having some trouble finishing it at the moment. Plus I'm not quite sure if it's going to turn out okay at all. | I can tell you how i get my mood for making maps. First i put the music that i want to hear atm, most of the time some Dark Psychedelic staff or chillout mayby, dunno... Depends on the sunlight :P . Then i turn on the volume a lot (my sound system is huge in my room). Then i open Star Edit and i start draw all over the map like you do in Paint for example. After i stop act like a chilt i listen to the music and i delete some of the draw and i keep the most logical part of the draw that have potention for a map :) . After you see the light in your mind for making a cool new map like (2)Osom for example, go to the fridge get at least 2 beers and free your time for the next 5 hours (to make at least the concept of the map, the details you can make them some other time). I hope you get what i mean. I just let the music in my mind, and get into the map soul ( wow ) :D | ||

| i usually start mapping when i'm bored. i get about one rough drawing per school lesson ~~ mostly, i am just hit with an idea...and i got a paper where i draw it in a hurry so i can remember it at home^^ | ||
