Are there ne ezier ways to make maps more even?

i currently just zoom out at 25% and put stuff at places as marker points and i get a pretty even map but, theres gotta be ezier ways.

make a concept before

take a sheet of paper and try to think of a map
then you think about balance and gameplay and convertibility and stuff- if you're done, go4editor

Well of course there are the coordinates.
On a 128*128 map, they go from 0-127 for each X and Y axis. So for example the middle is not 64, but 63 1/2.

Actually I do not think the way flo proposes is the only one. You can make good maps by just improvising imo.

Make a paper 128x128 save it, print it and draw on it. After that go in the editor :)

I start with a point in the middle of the map and then work outwards radialy. like put a doodad or a terrain marker in the middle of the map.


oh yeah i also draw my maps on graph paper first o.O, i went through like a whole stack of graph paper and + some of my math text book, just to draw maps o.O.

Click on any terrain from the terrain palette, move your mouse onto the map, click, hold, and start spazzing with your mouse!

Сlose your eyes and do the same thing as MilleniumArmy. When your eyes won't be closed anymore, you will say: "Fuck! This map rocks as hell!"
